Deckadence On Swim Platform

Boat Carpet / Marine Carpet PVC

Deckadence On Swim Platform 2017

DECKadence® Engineered Marine Carpet does NOT require DECK SNAPS. However, if you have an exposed edge such as a swim platform or a skiff platform, or decided you just want to snap it in place, then it really is a snap! There’s a new adhesive male snap (no drilling) out now made by “YKK SNAD”. It is a self-adhesive snap fastener.

Don’t let the PLUSH look of marine / boat carpeting fool you! DECKadence Engineered Marine Carpet (EMC) is actually a unique combination of soft synthetic PVC strands developed specifically for the marine industry. EMC is installed in minutes, water flows through it, and requires no adhesives! It hoses clean, and delivers unparalleled comfort, beauty and durability. • What Sandra Says about DECKadence Marine Engineered Carpet

Great product! We were test driving new boats. One had DECKadence in it and we really liked the product. Our new boat came with carpet. I looked online and found DECKadence at marineflooring.net. The DIY videos were very informative and easy to understand. We followed the instructions, used our carpet as the template and painters tape was easy to cut for a perfect fit.

We designed our own logo, took it to the stencil store (Fast Signs) and it was ready in a few hours. The stencil was simple to apply if you follow the directions on the DIY video. We are excited to have such a care free product in our new boat. It’s an amazing product! We love it!

  • Joe’s Experience With DECKadence Marine Carpet…

So after watching the DIY videos and reading some reviews about the DECKadence product, I decided to make the purchase and give it a try. First and foremost, I wanted to commend the customer service at this company! I had some questions about the logo application on their product, and Joel was there to help. Joel was informative and also encouraged me to just dive in and do the logo myself. I’m so glad I did! It was super easy and turned out great! If anybody is intimidated by the DIY aspect, don’t be. The DECKadence material is awesome, it’s easy to work with and even this novice of handyman could handle it…Thanks again DECKadence!!!

  • What Frank says about EMC …

I recently went fishing with a group of guys on a friend’s boat and I was impressed with the deck covering. After admiring the sturdiness and comfort from standing on it for about 8 hours I had to write to you about what a great product I found DECKadence to be! There was an elderly friend on the boat that tripped and fell, the carpet was so dense it cushioned his fall. I find this to be an excellent product and would recommend it to every boater.

  • What Scott says about DECKadence EMC …

Our family loves the DECKadence in our boat! We have a 2004 Centurion and try to keep the old girl looking nice. But the carpet was a different story – there were stains and smells that would never come out and it was wet and soggy every trip. The DECKadence feels great, never gets stained, never stays wet and goes “wall to wall” filling in all the gaps we had with our snap-in carpet. Everyone who rides in our boat comments on how good it looks and if they’re a boat owner, they want to know where to get it! Awesome upgrade.

I got the flooring installed and used it this past weekend at the lake. The fit and finish is absolutely perfect and surpassed all my expectations. I figured there would be a few small gaps here and there and had set my expectations accordingly but everything fit perfect. The wife, kids, and friends all loved […]

  • Ellen and Dog Rudy Say…

    Dear DECKadence, I thought I would send you a testimonial directly from the “horse’s mouth” or in this case my dog’s RUDY mouth. Although he can’t actually speak, in people talk I asked him how he likes our new marine flooring and he said;

Well before when I would ride in my family’s boat I gotta tell ya folks it was “rough”! Slipping and sliding, and getting pretty banged up was what I could expect before DMF. Now I don’t slide all over the deck even on “rough” days! I stay put even sleeping at times, and guess what people DMF is not only good for the sole, but it’s good for pets too!

My wife and I purchased a used 2014 X-30 in April. When we got the boat the carpet was stained and matted and it really didn't add to the look of our 'new' boat. We also keep it in the water and if we went out in the evening and got the carpet wet, it would still be wet the next day when we used it, so it was only a matter of time before it started getting funky.
We decided to go with deckadence flooring. I had seen/felt it a few times in other boats and really liked it, plus the fact that it doesn't get wet seemed great.
I purchased through Jims Marine Flooring, which was a great experience. Cost was around $1,500.
My overall experience has been very positive. We have spilled some adult beverages and the flooring never gets wet, stained, or sticky. food crumbs for the most part go through the floor, and the bigger pieces you pick out by hand, but really not that much. Sometimes there is a piece that gets lodged in there and you can't get out by hand, but by the end of the day it has usually worked itself through and is gone.
I picked up the mat and the underside is still clean, but there is a lot of dirt and crap on the fiberglass under the mat. I have not removed it at all in a month, so its probably time to take the flooring out and vacuum or wash down the fiberglass and re-install the mat. The mat itself still is spotless, but if I had access to a hose at the dock I would probably rinse it out.
It is nice on your feet although not very nice on more sensitive areas exposed skin. kneeling down on it to dig under the observers seat or put the drain plug in can be painful, and I would not want to lay down on it, or sit on it with exposed skin.
The logo looks awesome, and fit is fantastic. They do weld the logo in, so where the plastic is melted together at the seams, it is much stiffer than the rest of the floor. I have found that this softens over time and is now much less noticeable than when the flooring was new.
The flooring has gotten pretty hot on a couple occasions, but not any worse than the vinyl or everything else on those days... it has been an insanely warm summer here, upper 90's and low 100's. Certainly not as hot as the stock gray foam padding on the swim platform and walkthrough.
It stays in place very well, even towing at highway speeds, but I think I would still like the snaps on it to keep it in perfect position... it being shifted just a little bit drives me nuts, but I don't think anyone else notices it. I would not put it anywhere else on the boat without fastening it down somehow (swim platform).
The look and feel is a huge improvement... it really makes your boat feel more luxurious and people absolutely notice it.
I am sold on the flooring. No wet, no fading, no staining, plush on your feet, looks great. Way better than carpet. Not sure in comparison to Seadek, as I have not spent enough time on it to give it a thorough testing. Before and after pics attached.
